The third biggest pension company in the country, Sampension, is already making their way into the market of company pension. This new focus means revitalizing the communication platform and Sunrise has been chosen to carry it out.

New goals means a new strategy

”We are setting out to create a continued lift in knowledge and preference towards Sampension, in order to conquer further market shares within a target group, that does not have the same knowledge of Sampension and our strong selection of pension products, opposed to our customers on the AMP-market,”, tells Communication- and HR Director Søren Espersen. This new strategy is the very reason Sampension and Sunrise has started a longterm cooperation.

“Sunrise introduced a list of clear and yet to be fulfilled strategic marketing potentials that existed in our current brand platform. At the same time they showed us a process that clarifies the way to fulfill this potential and contribute to further growth. That is why we chose them”, Søren Espersen continues.

The strengthened marketing work is part of a more commercial approach at Sampension and is to move them from being primarily a provider of collective pension plans for employees of the commune and state to also including company pension plans.

How to become ”Worth more”

The first task is to rivatilize Sampensions current platform of communication “Worth more” which has been the pillar in all communication since 2014.

”There is great potential in ”Worth more” which we need to utilize. We are going to breathe new life into the platform to ensure that the communication even more so will be carried out with empathy, stances and values, so customers and other stakeholders not only knows who Sampension is, but also what they stand for”, says CEO and co-owner at Sunrise, Simon Hertz about the current task.

Sampension and Sunrise are at the moment working on an substantial insights- and analysis process which will be the foundation for the development of the communication platform. “It has been important to Sampension that the communication creates resonance both internally and externally. That is why we are testing our hypothesis among employees, decision-makers and customers to ensure we reach the correct solution and marketing approach for Sampension”, tells Simon Hertz.

The revitalized platform will help Sampension to win more clients to their portfolio within company pension which already lists Sportmaster, KMD, Charlie Tango, PostNord and Albatros Travel. Furthermore Arkitekternes Pensionskasse and Pensionskassen for Jordbrugsakademikere & Dyrlæger has recently chosen Sampension to be in charge of all administration of their members pension plans including management of investments.

Sampension is the third biggest pension and life-insurance company with around 300.000 customers, 300 employees and a total balance of 290 billions DKK including Arkitekternes Pensionskasse and Pensionskassen for Jordbrugsakademikere & Dyrlæger. They are owned by the members and has up until now primarily been providing pensions for the job market for employees of the commune and state. The focus has been adjusted continually which means Sampension also provides company pension plans to private companies today.
